Velvet Revolver CD Copy Protected

Well, I was considering getting the Velvet Revolver CD, but now I won't be. News.com.edu.info.tv reports that the CD contains SunnComm copy protection. A BMG executive was arrogant enough to say, "We're thrilled with the results we've seen and the apparent consumer acceptance." It's more like "People don't know about it yet, so I haven't been lynched." I would hope that everyone who bought the CD would call BMG and SunnComm and ask why they took the liberty of illegally disallowing their fair use rights. I'm all for buying the music I listen to, but this kind of crap makes me begin to wonder if the industry is just begging for piracy. Thanks Slashdot.
