Bleh

Just watched the crew of STS-116 grease the shuttle in to a beautiful landing in some gross-looking weather. It's a relief to see them home safe.

J.t.Qbe comments: I watched it too. The cockpit view was really something. Those guys are real pros.

The Master comments: The wildest thing for me is realizing they're gliding a 4.5 million pound delta-winged brick into a runway with only two approach routes 180° opposed, with one shot at a landing, and no place to go except the drink if you miss. You need to be PERFECT, every time.
